Altar Server
All youth of the parish who are in grades 4 - 12 and have received their first Holy Communion are welcome to participate in the life of our parish as an altar server. This is a special privilege and a wonderful way to respond to God's call for service to one another. The primary role of the altar server is to assist the priest and / or deacon in the celebration of the liturgy and the Eucharist during Mass. Altar servers should be active and full participants in the celebration with the understanding that they are leaders of the assembly. They set an example for the congregation through prayer, song, and silence. New servers must attend a training session which includes information on the Mass and their specific duties. They are then scheduled to serve on a team once every four weeks. Training sessions are held as needed throughout the year. Contact 261-4698.
