Emmaus Catechist Expectations
The Call
Each catechist/volunteer is responding to a call in their heart. This call is from God and is supported by the Emmaus community.
The Commitment
In answering the call, a catechist becomes a “witness to the faith by sharing his/her faith commitment through word, experience, prayer, and liturgy.”
The Mission
The mission of Emmaus Catholic Church in faith formation is rooted philosophically in Scripture, Christ is the vine and we are the branches without Christ we are nothing. We will meet everyone on their walk of faith and journey with them mentoring and instructing, to meet Christ in the Eucharist.
The Journey
Recognizing that parents are the first teachers of their Children in the faith, we at Emmaus Catholic Church work toward the above mission through the program of religious education for CCE and Youth.
