Short personal biography (100 words or less): A native of Montgomery, Alabama and graduate of the University of Alabama, James moved to Austin nearly 24 years ago from Houston. He and his wife Sheryl moved to Bee Cave in 2004 and discovered the faith community of Emmaus Catholic Parish. The community embraced them and later their son Jamie with open arms and kind hearts. James also serves on the Saint Gabriel’s Catholic School Board of Trustees.

Motivating factors for seeking this position: We are the salt, the origin where faith begins and we can share or influence others with our faith by letting God's light shine through us. Salt may lose its taste when we stray from God or our parish. We must remain committed so we are role models for others to follow. As a member of the Pastoral Council, I want to help cultivate increased participation in all ministries to enhance the unity and communal life of the parish family. |
